Lesson 3: Lighting for Effect

Using the still cameras and lights available, we took a series of photos to study the effect of lighting. We experimented using different lighting effects and i even edited the following pictures.

In the first picture, we took a mid-shot using an overhead lamp and placed the light above the body.

In these two pictures we experimented with hand-held lights on both sides of the girl in a dark room.

This is a face closeup where we placed the light on the left side of the face.

Here we places the light on the left side of the face and took a mid-shot.

We also experimented with light painting in a dark room but setting the exposure of the camera to high.

We definitely had fun trying out new things with the camera and tried to take mid-shots with different light painting shapes.
